How can we change the impact of inflammation on our daily lives?

There is no escaping inflammation in our modern lives – from the food we eat, to the pollution we breathe in, and the stress we experience. However, we can exercise control over some of the effects of that inflammation as we explore ways to neutralize it within our system. By consciously choosing foods rich in healing properties, we give our bodies much needed support to fight inflammation, improve system function, and encourage the development of beneficial social and emotional relationships.

What does it mean to have an intentional relationship with food?

Being intentional about the food we consume goes beyond simply buying fruits and vegetables at the grocery store – although that is a wonderful place to begin! Some of the healthiest parts of the world – called Blue Zones – embrace food as a community experience. From growing it, preparing and enjoying it together, and embracing a slower lifestyle – these qualities create a degree of intentionality that many of us are craving to include in our daily lives.
